The Team

Overview of our riders & team:

Around mile 99 of '05 ProutyMatt Solar, pictured around mile 99 of the 2005 Prouty, has been involved with Wicked Philanthropy as the founder since it’s 2004 informal creation.

Favorite moment: “The crowds along the entire PMC route are terrific – to see people 80 or 150 miles from the start still cheering us on and saying ‘thank you’ is something to witness.  We’re also very fortunate in our health – seeing some survivors strugle to ride is very sobering and something that has stuck with me through any physical, and emotional, challenge on and off the bicycle.

jadamsJeff Adams, seen here at the end of the 2004 Pan-Mass Challenge was involved in two philanthropy rides and was critical in the planning of the original “Casino Night” in 2004.

Jeff attended Indiana University, where he was a competitor in the “Little 500″ bike race (Matt was their team mechanic).

tmgTaylor “TMG” Moran-Gates, pictured here during the 2006 Prouty Century, took time off to attend medical school in New York City but plans to make a triumphant return for 2010’s “Concord to Cadillac” ride.
aionescuAdrian “Q” Ionescu, seen here suffering through the last miles of the 2005 Prouty century ride, helped us in raising $2,750 in 2005.

From Adrian: “In recent years, especially with the unexpected passing of my father from a heart attack, I have been more and more aware of just how serious diseases such as Cancer, Heart Disease and many others really are. Being in great health, I have dedicated this page to doing what I love (riding my bike, running, swimming) to support various charities throughout the year.  Please do what you can to support my races/rides, any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Together we can all make a difference.

mmorrisMike “Monker” Morris suffered through the downpour in the 2005 Prouty century and was instumental to helping our team finish the entire 100 miles together.
pkuhnPete Kuhn, a non-rider, has been helping with web-related issues since 2004.  He is currently helping with web development and content generation and is a co-administrator of the blog.  (We are determined to get him onto a bike one of these days.)
oconnorChristine O’Connor, a non-rider, helped Wicked Philanthropy to gain corprorate sponsors for the 2004/2006 Casino Nights.
